Los Angeles, CA (August 29, 2009) – Veteran Broadcast Journalist & Hollywood for Kids faculty member, Sandra Gin, was honoured this evening at the 2009 Daytime Emmy Awards with an 8th Emmy win, for her role as the producer of the hit Fox television show, Cristina’s Court.

This was the 2nd consecutive Daytime Emmy Award for Gin, who received the prestigious golden statue for producing the same highly popular, syndicated court show last year.

“I am deeply humbled and honoured by this wonderful award bestowed upon me and the entire production team at Cristina’s Court, by the Academy.” said Gin. “While this heartfelt recognition by our fellow television industry professionals certainly helps boost our morale, it’s the love and admiration of the fans to this groundbreaking show that truly empowers our win tonight.”

Widely recognized as one of the most influential broadcast and television personalities in the United States, Gin has previously won 7 Emmy Awards, and received 12 Emmy nominations for her accomplishments as a journalist, television news anchor, and producer. She is also the recipient of numerous other broadcast honors including the Telly Award, the Golden Mikes, and recognition from the Society of Professional Journalists, the Dallas Press Club, the Houston Press Club, and the Asian American Journalists Association.
