Who are the workshop instructors?
Our workshops are taught by distinguished film and media professionals from Hollywood. Our instructors include major award-winning actors, directors, producers, screenwriters, cinematographer, animators, editors, beauty queens, fashion models, and some of the most respected broadcast journalists in the United States, who want to share their in-depth knowledge and experience with the participating students.
We pride ourselves on having one of the largest faculties consisting of high-profile professionals. These film and media professionals not only have years of film and media industry experience behind them, but are also actively involved in their respective fields right now, thus making sure that your child receives most up to date education in the field.

Where do the Hollywood For Kids workshops take place?
Our regular workshops and after-school programs are presented throughout the year at some of the most prestigious schools in the world. However, the Hollywood For Kids Summer Camps are held at various university and college campuses, in addition to our partner school campuses.

Does my child need prior experience in film, television, or media production to participate in HFK workshops?
No. The students do not require any previous experience or industry exposure prior to participating in the workshops. Hollywood For Kids workshops are designed to provide your kids with all the information and skills they require to start their successful and exciting journey in to that specific industry.

My child does not want a career in the film & media, can he or she still benefit from participating in one of your workshop?
Absolutely! Our workshops are not only about teaching vocational skills related to film, television, and media arts, but they also help your child attain a better self image, create a higher degree of confidence, and develop extraordinary team work and leadership skills.

When does my child need to sign up for one of your workshops?
As soon as possible! Workshop registration is offered on a limited seating basis only to guarantee personal interaction with between student and the instructor.
All of our workshop slots usually get filled within days of announcement, so we cannot guarantee any seats unless the students is fully registered and assigned a space confirmation by our registration department.

What is the accepted age group for participation in the workshops?
Most of our workshops are created and designed for the Middle and High School students. We do offer certain workshops and after school programs for
elementary students as well. Please contact us directly or check with your school administrators regarding
the age requirements for a particular workshop you are interested in.

What is the average duration of each workshop?
Our regular workshops are two weeks long, and classes are offered twice a week during that period. Each class is 3 hours in duration, so the student receives a total of 12 hours of hands on instruction and practical training during the course of the workshop.
Our Summer Boot Camps and Master Classes are offered in an intensive workshop format that is three days long. These workshop hours are from 9am till 5pm each day, and so the students receive a total of 24 hours of hands on instruction and practical training during these three day workshops.
We also offer various after-school programs for the
elementary level students, which take place daily at selected school campuses.

A certain workshop is not being offered at my child’s school right now, can I enroll him/her to participate in the course at a different school?
Absolutely! All of our workshop locations are open to K-12 students, regardless of the school they attend academically.
However, if your child is not enrolled at the school where the workshop is taking place, we will require some kind of evidence that the student is currently enrolled at an educational institution. The evidence of enrollment includes but is not limited to the student identification card, letter from a school staff member, or any other official school documentation clearly stating name of the student.

What is the cost of participation in a Hollywood For Kids workshop?
The workshop fees vary depending on the course format and the geographical location of the workshop.

What payment options are available for HFK workshops?
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Registration fee can also be paid using PayPal.
You can also use cash to pay the registration fee through some of our event partners in selected countries.

What is included in the cost of each workshop?
All of the students participating in the workshops receive a certificate of completion, career counseling, as well as access to professional internship opportunities at major film and television studios.
Depending on the particular workshop, participants might also receive portfolio headshots or video reels, production or editing software, and student membership to relevant professional organizations, among other benefits. What educational or professional organizations does Hollywood For Kids support?
Hollywood For Kids supports several regional, national, and international organizations related to education, child development, progression of the arts, and film, television, and media sector.
Some of these organizations include The Recording Academy (GRAMMY), The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (EMMY), National Association of Independent School (N.A.I.S.), European Council of International Schools (E.C.I.S.), The National Press Club (Washington D.C.), among many others. We are also a member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
