Workshop Introduction
Make a Scene™ is an authentic Hollywood screen-acting workshop, designed exclusively for kids and teenagers by leading film professionals and child development specialists in the United States.
This exciting hands-on workshop introduces the students to the basics of acting for film and television and takes them step-by-step through the process of reading a script, developing a wide range of emotions, creating different characters, and discovering various acting techniques routinely used by the top Hollywood actors to give award winning performances.
The future superstars will also learn effective methods to get rid of their shyness and stage fright, how to improvise in both comedic and dramatic situations, the secrets behind putting together a world class acting portfolio, finding film and television casting opportunities, plus how to work on the set with a director and the crew, and a lot more.

Meet the Instructor

Shane Van Dyke is a renowned American actor and one of the most talented young film directors in Hollywood today.
Born in to a Hollywood dynasty, Shane is son of the famous television actor Barry Van Dyke (The A-Team, Airwolf, The Love Boat, etc) and grandson of the legendary Hollywood leading man, Dick Van Dyke (Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Night at the Museum, etc.)
Shane launched his acting career more than a decade ago as Dr. Alex Smith on the super hit television show, Diagnosis Murder, and has since starred in several blockbuster feature films and television shows, including the Bold and the Beautiful, Transmorphers, and the Shark Swarm, where he co-starred alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Armand Assante (Mambo Kings) John Schneider (The Dukes of Hazzard,) and Daryl Hannah (Kill Bill.)
Shane made his directorial debut with the hit western film, Six Guns, and is currently directing a star studded cast of actors, including Brooke Burns (Melrose Place) and the Oscar nominated and Golden Globe winning actor, Bruce Davison (X-Men) in the eagerly awaited Titanic 2.
